I Love Israel - Reflections by Brett
The commemoration of Yom HaShoah was a completely different experience than I have ever had. One minute we were sitting in the office of the school principal, David Lavon, and the next minute we were all standing, and paying our respects to those that lost their lives in the Holocaust, listening to a siren being heard all over the country. This was not only a different experience, this was a meaningful experience. After this unique experience, we went to the school ceremony for the victims of the Holocaust. Everyone was dressed and white and was respectful of this moment. This ceremony created unity in everyone and there was a special connection that i have never felt before. This was an incredible experience that i will never forget.
